Sphinxlike panther creatures of dusky black, fine-boned and softly furred, with the heads of women and wings of dark owl feathers that were perfectly silent in flight, they also have delicate cat feet to land quietly.
Tangris and Bashees have a very chilling reputation due to their skill and behavior. As assassins, they are quiet and, most likely, capable strategists. However, despite how the other Chimaera -- along with Karou -- treat them, they seem to get along well with Zuzana Novakova, and they do not seem to faze her and got along well despite speaking different languages, even to the point of Zuzana calling them "cool" despite Karou's warnings.
Days of Blood & StarlightEdit
Tangris and her partner Bashees make up the duo known as "The Shadows that Live", feared assassins that move silently and swiftly. They are for the most part silent and do not interact with their peers, but, like the other chimaera, they seem to take a liking to Zuzana Nováková and Mikolas Vavra while they are at the kasbah. When Karou finally takes a stand against Thiago, Tangris and Bashees take her side. Later, Thiago kills them at the Pit.
Dreams of Gods and Monsters Edit
Tangris and Banshees are most likely brought back in this book. When Jael comes back from Earth, he thought his army had won and was expecting a female seraph in his room. A fake soldier tells him she is already there. When Jael calls her to his bed, however, it turned out to be Liraz who was waiting to capture him. Tow shadowy forms materialised from above her, these being Tangris and Banshees. The twin chimaeras helped her take him in as prisoners.
Tangris is her partner. However, it is unknown if they are sisters, lovers, or just very close friends.
